Core Values Assessment
Self-reflection tool
Find the values behind your choices
Values are the core principles that guide our decisions and behavior, whether we have named them or not. They show up more in what we do than in what we say. This assessment helps you name yours: sort 50 values, choose the five that matter most, put them in order, and see how fully you are living each one right now.
It is for anyone, at any age. There is a version for 17 and younger, and parents can take it for themselves. It pairs with the 12 Essential Aspects assessment: your values say what matters; the 12 areas say where it is showing up.
- Free, and takes about 8 minutes
- Results on screen as soon as you finish
- A personal PDF report by email
- Private: only you and the Noble Mentors team see your answers
How it works
Then your results: your five, where to start, the shape of your values, and a PDF to keep. The assessment opens on its own page.

Where to start
The value with the biggest gap between how much it matters and how much you are living it, with a question to sit with and one small step.
The shape of your values

A report to keep
A PDF with a small step for each value, a draft values statement in your own words, and everything you sorted.

Next steps
What to do with your results
STEP 1
Act on one value this week
Take the small step for your Start here value. One change you keep beats five you drop.
STEP 2
Talk it through
A Noble Mentor can go through your five with you, help you decide where to start, and stay alongside you while you make changes. The first call is free.
STEP 3
Take the 12 Essential Aspects next
Your values say what matters. The 12 Essential Aspects assessment shows where it is showing up in your life. Take both again in a few months to see what has moved.
Questions about the assessment
Values are the core principles that guide our decisions and behavior. They are not always at the front of our minds, and they show up more in what we do than in what we say. Some of our values come from inside us; others we picked up from family, school, culture or media without much reflection. Knowing which are which is part of the point.
No. It is a self-reflection tool. There are no right or wrong values and no score to pass. It shows what you said matters to you right now and how fully you are living it.
Only you and the Noble Mentors team. Your answers are saved so we can send your report, and they are never sold or shared. Email contact@noblementors.com if you would like them deleted.
If you are 18 or older, take the full version. If you are 17 or younger, take the version with shorter answer choices: the same values, with plainer wording. If you are under 13, use a parent’s email address for the report.
Yes. Parents can take it for themselves, which is often a good place to start. You can also share this page with your young person and compare your five afterward, if they are open to it.
About 8 minutes. Most of that is the sort: 50 values, one tap each. The written reflections at the end are optional.
Your five core values come straight from your choices; nothing is inferred. Each one gets a pattern from two answers: how fully you are living it (living it, partly, or not yet) and whether it is really yours. “Start here” is the core value with the biggest gap between how much it matters and how much you are living it. The seven value families show where your values lean, with your five counting most.
They are companions. Your values say what matters to you; the 12 Essential Aspects show where it is showing up in your life, and where it is not. Take either one first. Together they point to where to start, and they are the raw material for the North Star Vision you build with a mentor.
