Most families find us because someone they trust said our name. This is our way of saying thank you.

The Noble Mentors Affiliate Program

Most of the families who find us were sent by someone who already knew us: a parent whose son or daughter worked with one of our mentors, a coach, a tutor, a friend from church or the climbing gym. This program is our way of saying thank you for that.

When you refer a family and their son or daughter completes a first month of weekly mentoring, we pay you $250. Refer five families and the fifth pays $750. Refer ten and the tenth pays $1,250.

Who this is for, and who it is not

Two lists, so nobody ends up in an awkward spot

You can join if you are

  • A parent or family member of a current or former Noble Mentors client
  • A friend, neighbor, or relative of a family who could use us
  • A coach, tutor, trainer, martial-arts or music instructor, youth-group leader, or other professional who is free to accept a referral payment

Please do not join if you are

  • A therapist, counselor, psychologist, or social worker
  • A psychiatrist or physician
  • An educational consultant
  • A school employee
This is not because we do not value your referrals. We do, and they are a large part of how families reach us. It is because your professional rules prohibit accepting payment for referrals, and we will not put you in that position. Refer the way you always have. We will take good care of the family, and we are glad to send materials to your office at no charge.
How it works

Three steps

Tell a family about us.

Hand them a card, forward them an email, or just say our name. Materials are free and we mail them to you.

They reach out, or you introduce us.

When a family contacts us we ask who sent them. Or fill out the short Refer a Family form below and we will make the first call ourselves.

3

You are paid after their first month.

Once their son or daughter has met with a mentor every week for a month, we send your $250.

What counts

What counts as a referral

  • A family that is new to us, not one already in conversation with us.
  • Their son or daughter starts therapeutic mentoring and meets with their mentor every week for one month. The free meet-and-greet does not count toward the month.
  • Parent coaching on its own does not count. If the family later starts mentoring, it counts from there.
  • Payment is sent at the end of that first month.

  • One referrer per family: the first person recorded on the family’s file. If two people sent the same family, the family’s own answer to “who referred you?” decides.

How we track it

We keep it simple, and we keep it honest.

The family tells us. Every family that contacts us is asked “Who referred you?” on our contact form and again on the first call. That answer goes on their file the day they reach out.

Or you tell us first. Use the Refer a Family form below. We log the referral before the family ever calls, and we make the first call ourselves. This is the surest way to make sure your referral is recorded, and families we call tend to get started sooner than families who have to make the call.

You will hear from us three times: when we hear from the family, when their son or daughter starts, and when the first month is complete and your payment is on its way.

  • A credit toward your own family’s mentoring or any Noble Mentors service
  • Donate it to our sliding-scale fund, which helps a family who could not otherwise afford mentoring
Referral payments are income. If payments to you pass $600 in a calendar year we will ask you for a W-9.
The family’s privacy

What we will and will not share

We never share anything about a young person’s mentoring with the person who referred them. Our updates to you are limited to three facts: we heard from them, they started, the month is complete.

We also ask every family whether they are comfortable with us thanking the person who sent them, and we honor their answer.

      Questions

      The affiliate program, answered

      At the end of the referred client’s first month of weekly mentoring. We email you when it is on the way.

      Then they were not a new referral, and the program does not apply. We will tell you if that is the case.

      The referral does not qualify. If they come back later and complete a month, it does.

      Yes. There is no cap, and the fifth and tenth referrals pay a bonus. Referrals count for life, not per year.

      Parent coaching alone does not qualify. If the family later starts mentoring, the referral counts from there.

      No, and it protects her: licensed clinicians are prohibited from accepting referral payments. She is welcome to refer families the way she always has, and we will gladly send materials to her office.

      Yes. You can apply it to your own family’s mentoring or any Noble Mentors service, or donate it to our sliding-scale fund.

      No. Request materials or send a referral and you are in. We only need your contact details so we can pay you.
      Program terms. Noble Mentors pays the referral reward described on this page to the first person recorded as the referrer for a new family whose client completes one month of weekly therapeutic mentoring. Parent coaching alone does not qualify. Rewards are paid by the method you choose within 30 days of qualification. Licensed clinicians, educational consultants, and school employees are not eligible. If you talk about Noble Mentors publicly (social media, a newsletter, a blog) while in this program, please say that you may be compensated for referrals.
