I’m drawn to mentoring because I love deeply connecting with people, helping them feel seen, and supporting them as they find their own direction. I’ve been described as “calm, grounding, like a tree.” I bring patience, kindness, and an approachable presence to my relationships, and I’m grateful to offer those qualities to others. They grew through a journey of my own.

In my teen years, I struggled with social anxiety. I was the kid who “didn’t dance” at school events and often held back from connecting with others. In young adulthood, I felt unsure of my direction and purpose. I followed the “logical” advice and completed a degree in mechanical engineering without really understanding why I was pursuing that path. During those years, partying, cannabis, video games, and adult content became ways to distract myself from feeling lost.

Things began to shift through meditation, spiritual teachers, and a growing curiosity about myself. With support from coaches, mentors, and a men’s group, I began reconnecting with my interests and replacing habits that kept me stuck. Weight training, martial arts, and time in nature became meaningful parts of my life. I learned to listen more deeply, speak honestly about my emotions, and follow through on commitments to myself. Having people who could both support me and hold me accountable made a lasting difference.

As that change took root, I began building my own coaching practice and eventually transitioned out of engineering. Through coaching young adults, I’ve supported people in reducing time spent distracting themselves, building healthier routines, navigating career decisions, and pursuing interests they had been putting off. That has included reconnecting with music and attending an open mic, as well as taking steps toward starting a business.

I feel especially connected to young adults who are struggling with distraction, procrastination, social anxiety, or uncertainty about their next chapter. My approach combines a steady, accepting presence with practical structure and accountability. I’m comfortable slowing down, listening, and allowing room for someone to find their words. I’m also willing to ask honest questions and offer encouragement when taking the next step feels difficult.

Our work might involve creating a manageable weekly routine, practicing a challenging conversation, making room for exercise or creative interests, or exploring what makes a goal personally meaningful. We begin with what matters to you and work toward changes you can carry into everyday life. My hope is that, through our relationship, you develop greater trust in yourself and more confidence in your ability to shape your own life.
