All my life, my number one asset has been my ability to connect with other people. I grew up here in Boulder, Colorado. School was hard for me academically, and I made up for it by being friends with everybody. Along the way, I’ve had to unlearn a lot of low self-esteem and people-pleasing habits and learn the value of hard work.

For a large portion of my adult life, I was stuck in a failure-to-launch mindset. I numbed out with cannabis, sports, and technology, and I watched my ambition get pushed under the surface. Looking back, most of my biggest struggles came from my own desire to avoid. I know what it’s like to feel stuck.

When I think about what changed, I can see a series of small decisions, a lot of support, and a lot of struggle. So much of our lives is set up to encourage comfort, and while I’m very much a creature of comfort myself, there is so much value in sitting with what’s uncomfortable. What helped me the most through my difficult times was experiencing true and authentic connection with myself and others.

I’ve worked as a wilderness therapy field guide, an executive functioning coach, and a caregiver for spiritual teachers for over ten years. I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in counseling. I’m active in 12-step groups, and I enjoy working out, watching sports, reading, listening to podcasts, and spending time in nature. I’ve received so much guidance and mentorship in my life, and I’m grateful for an opportunity to be of service.
